So...at FIVE weeks, I was supposed to have my first night away from Grace. My friend, Sarah, was having her bachelorette party in Ft. Worth and this was my first night out in like nine months. Mike was so wonderful and kept telling me to go have fun--he had it covered. Honestly, I really wasn't worried about it. He's done great taking care of Grace, and I knew he could handle it- PLUS Tom & Patsy were coming over for the Rangers game, so he didn't have to worry about her while Gigi was here. :) Welp, I made it to about midnight until I decided I wanted to come home. What a flake, huh? Guess I wasn't quite as ready as I thought. :)
At that six week mark, we figured it would be a good time to go up to school and show off! It was fun getting to go up and have lunch with all my work friends...I actually do miss it! I took Grace to one of my classes and to the volleyball game that night..the students were so sweet! They all gave me big hugs and loved on Grace. That visit definitely will help when it's time to go back to work because I was reminded of all the sweet kids and great co-workers I get to be with all day!

First trip to the zoo! |
We met Sarah at the Ft. Worth zoo (which I love!) for Boo at the Zoo! We got there about an hour before the zoo closed, but that was really a pretty good time for a 6 week old to be at the zoo! Not only did we have fun at the zoo, but Grace got to meet her future BFF Jack! He was so sweet and cute with Grace-- love it!

| Nate, Grace, and Clay |
Halloween night was a fun night. We headed over to Lewisville to trick-or-treat with Nate and Clay. It was such a fun night..they are such a fun age! They were so excited the whole time, and super cute dressed up as Mario and Luigi. You shoulda heard them: especially when Nate said, "Happy Hawoween!" Now, Grace stayed back with Gickum and Mike..they were on baby duty!

| Think Gickum had it covered! |
This past weekend, my grandparents came up from San Antonio so my grandpa and uncle could shoot in an archery tournament. This was the first time they got to meet Grace, and she's their first great-grandchild. We went to dinner on Friday night, and we were there for about three hours---Grace did not make a peep. I'm telling you, she loves to be out and about and around those loud noises!

| Wreck 'em Tech! |
On Saturday, while Papa and John were at the archery tournament we stayed at the house and watch Tech play UT. Ouch. It was ugly, but there's always next year. After the game, we all got some lunch and they were headed back to San Antonio. We decided to meet Aunt Susie and Unlce Tyler at Brickhouse Tavern to have a few drinks to drown our sorrows from the game! :( What a fun afternoon.

The Bolding grandkids
Early on Sunday, Mike went to the airport to go to Raleigh, NC for two days for work. Grace and I had a pretty boring day on Sunday. At least Robert, Jessica, and the boys came over to visit for a while! That was a nice little visit :) It's always so cute seeing the boys with Grace because they are so sweet with her and just can't get enough of her :) |
