Grace had her two week appointment, and Loli came with us. She did soo much better than last time. She weighed 7lbs 8oz! She's gaining weight really well! She was still the same length, and was right in the 50th percentile...except for her head. Her head was in the 25th percentile...looks like she might have a teeny, peanut head like here mom! cutie pie! After she peed all over the doctor's scale, she did great during her checkup...never cried or anything. I'm already starting to stress about the next appointment, though---that's when the vaccinations begin! :(
ROUND ONE OF STRIPPING THE BED:
Since we are now one month into Grace's life, we have experienced some funny/ nasty moments! The other night, I was sitting in the living room enjoying my peace while Mike was changing Grace in the other room. Suddenly, Mike yells my name and I have a panic attack thinking she's fallen off the bed or something. Well, I walk in the bedroom and Grace not only had a poopy diaper, but had projectile pooped off the changing pad! Mike had never moved so fast when he dodged the poop, but it was all over the changing pad, bed sheets, and comforter--round one of stripping the bed! It was pretty funny, and Mike was quite proud of how he was able to miss the bullet!!!
ROUND TWO OF STRIPPING THE BED:
The other day, Mike was feeding Grace and I noticed he had a different (faster flowing) nipple on the bottle, but since it wasn't bugging Grace I didn't think much of it. Well, after she was nice and fed and burped, we wrapped her up and sat her in the boppy pillow on the bed while I got ready. Next thing I knew, I hear her spit up. I didn't think too much of it, but when I looked at her there was literally a puddle of nastiness in front of her on the bed...the crazy thing was that there was NOTHING on her or the pillow. Talk about projectile...it was like a stream over her body straight onto the bed. Thanks sweetie!
Last weekend, we took Grace to her cousin, Clay's, soccer game. It was so beautiful outside, and Grace never woke up- go figure. That evening, Uncle Tyler and Aunt Susie came over for a little cookout and Sangria. It was fun being able to hangout with them, and get to catch up-- so happy Tyler's back for good now and we get to get ready for their wedding!
On Sunday, Jess brought over the boys and Ariana to meet miss G! They were sooo cute, and were so big with the baby. They all got to hold her and tell her they love her! Nate even sang a little 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' to her- precious!

*TOP 10 THINGS THAT HAVE CHANGED SO FAR:
10. We've become very mindful of how terrible everyone else drives.
9. I have a natural alarm clock that wakes me up periodically to check to make sure Grace is still breathing!
8. People like to use your baby as an invitation to tell you all about their children---because we care about how old and cute the Target checker's children are!
7. Mike has officially transformed into our chauffeur and pack mule. (Thx Sarah for the term--I think it'll stick)
6. Saturday nights have changed to Grace binge drinking instead of us
5. There is no such thing as 'last minute' activities. 'Running out the door' is a thing of the past. We now have to be booked in advance.
4. The little, trivial things just don't matter anymore
3. People enjoy stating the obvious to us all the time! "She's so small." "That bow's so big." "She sleeps a lot."
2. We've officially turned into those people we always talked about... complaining about people being loud, smoking, driving bad, etc.... Mike literally said this after a motorcycle rode by: "How inconsiderate of him! I should call the cops because there is a law about how loud those motors can be!"
1. We officially feel like parents- worrying about everything!
My pregnant friend, Jessica, and I had constant text convos about annoying things people told us while we were pregnant...so I decided to make a little of list of some of the
*THINGS NOT TO SAY TO PREGNANT GIRLS:
-You look tired! (Well, I knew I felt tired..but so happy to hear that I look it too!)
-You know your body will never be the same. (What?!!? I had no clue!)
-You know, when I was pregnant... I drank alcohol, smoke cigarettes, did drugs, blahblahblah...and my baby turned out fine! (Well, super! I don't care...I still don't want to drink caffeine.)
-When other girls (not pregnant) talk about how fat they feel. (Sorry, no sympathy here!)
-AND my least favorite: 'Just wait!' said with a grin...like I had no idea what I got myself into. (Still waiting for whatever it is everybody keeps talking about.)
OKAY, my vent is over :) Said for all the pregnant girls out there! Feel free to facebook me any other good ones! :)
Until next time!
