Has it really been a month??

Starting school really does occupy all your time, it seems!  The last month has been so busy trying to fill in every last bit of fun before reality set back in.  It's already been three weeks of school, and it has been jam packed!!

I spent the two weeks before school driving all over Texas- visiting my parents and grand parents.  I got to hang out with my little cousins a little bit, attend Mike's grandma's 75th bday party, get maternity photos, and have an amazing shower!

Like I said, school has been so crazy! Can you say overwhelming?  I already feel like I'm never going to get caught up...but it's reassuring mostly everybody else feels the same way!  Good news is I have my long-term sub all lined up, and she started coming last week to a volleyball practice.  She played in college, so needless to say- I think she's more qualified for my job then I am!  I think she's going to do fabulous!  We're just waiting on her to officially be in the sub system, and she can start coming up and shadowing me in the classroom...then it will really feel like I'm getting close.  That's a funny thing---I feel like I've been so 'close' forever!  Everyone keeps telling me it will fly by, but I'm not getting that yet!  Last night I made a to-do list, and about had a freak out...have to admit, it's the first minor anxiety attack I've had so far.  Next week is so packed full of open house, volleyball game, infant CPR classes, doctor appointments---when am I going to do any of this?!?!  Oh well, Mike is definitely good at calming me down and helping out so I'm pretty lucky I guess!

What about those showers?!?

Well, let me start by saying that I have some AMAZING friends and family!  They always go above and beyond anything I would ever expect, and make me feel so special!  I have had THREE showers since my last post, and they were all fabulous.  The first one I had was thrown by my sister-in-law, Cecily, and my mother-in-law, Patsy, at Chocolate Angel in Richardson.  If you have not gone to this place, GO!  It was so delicious and cute!  It was a really fun shower, and I got so many great gifts!  Here's a little sneak peak!

Short girl with the hostesses!

Wonderful teacher friends!

The weekend before school started, my bestie- Sarah put together another GREAT shower at my parents house!  I had some really great family and friends show up to help celebrate baby Grace!  It was so stinking cute, and AGAIN I got some great gifts!  Now, it was the end of August, so it was mighty hot---but oh well!
Who knew my friends were sooo crafty??

My baby daddy and I!

Fabulous hostesses, Victoria and Sarah!--minus MOM!

34 weeks!

My mom made this AMAZING quilt!  All those little colored
squares are pieces from MY baby clothes!

I LOVE MY CHAIR!!! My brother Landon found it, and turned it into the most wonderful rocker for the nursery!

AND...last, but of course not least, was the shower my co-workers threw for me at school!  Again, I couldn't believe how great it was and was so moved by how much they all did for me.  Probably the cutest school shower that school has ever seen!  Take a peak:

Not only is it cute...it was so delicious!

Could they have made this any cuter?

Just of few of the hostesses hard at work!

So touched by the turnout!

Look at how our bow collection has grown- haha!

Well, I think I've about covered it with the showers--my wall has officially been thrown up on by something pink!  Another exciting thing that has happened is I got my maternity pics done, and I think they turned out really cute---I'm just waiting for the c.d. and I'll post some good ones!

This last weekend was Labor Day and the official Turnbow family reunion!  We made my last road trip (before the baby comes) to Abilene, and had a good time visiting with the family!  We're trying next year to get it in Granbury- not only because there's much more fun things to do than Abilene- but because it turns out we actually have a lot of family history there.  Who knew...  My cousin, Lindsey just had twin boys, and it was really exciting getting to see them for the first time (out of the NICU anyway)!  They were looking good, and Mike had a little practice baby holding-even if it was more of a football hold.

All the brothers and sisters! (9 out of 12)

Did you know they had a chocolate fountain at Golden Corral now? :)

My uncles holding the twins--pretty worthless!

Cutie cousins!
Well, besides the fact that my life has become much more busy--(and about to get even more crazy) life is pretty much perfect!  We are officially counting down the DAYS until baby Grace gets here, and can't wait to see what all she has to bring into our life!  We are going to the Dr. next week to see how close she is to popping out, so that should be very interesting!
