two weeks and counting...

What a whirlwind!  I can't believe it's already been two weeks that my baby girl has been in the world.  She is such a joy!  These past two weeks have been full of visiting family and a lot of sleeping/eating/pooping!  Grace really is a super easy baby... all people keep telling us (from the very beginning of pregnancy) is 'JUST WAIT.'  Well, we are ready for a storm to hit because we are still waiting for things to get crazay.  Baby Bolding really only cries when she is getting changed and heaven forbid we try to bathe her-- Oh em gee!

Sleeping right through dinner...
We spent last weekend parading around town like a new family would.  On Thursday night, we had our first dinner out with baby Grace.  She did fabulous!  Never even woke up :)  We had our first parenting advice from a stranger..which I love! (sense the sarcasm)  The lady was very concerned about Grace being 'too hot.'  Keep it movin' lady!  We went on Friday to get Grace's newborn pictures done, and it is truly amazing what you can make a baby do when she is well fed and warm.  It was like play-doh moving her around every which way we chose!  Kendall, the photographer, rocked it though... made it look nice and easy!
On Saturday, we went to the Arboretum and spent the day lounging in the grass.  It was such a beautiful day, and a perfect opportunity to get out of the house--I was already worried about coming down with a bad case of cabin fever.  If you haven't been out to see the Arboretum for the fall, you must go..so awesome!  We decided this lounge in the grass would be a perfect opportunity for our first 'tummy time' experience!  She had just lost her umbilical cord, so we figured we would give it a try.
That night, it was so pretty outside we couldn't help but want to have a little cookout for dinner!  Mike made some fabulous steak and potatoes (of course..what else?) and we sat and enjoyed the evening! :)

Mimi and miss Grace
On Sunday, we went and visited Mike's grandma and Uncle.  It's funny how having a baby is a good excuse for everybody to want to see you!  We understand... everybody's just using us for our baby!
Big week ahead!!!
Monday, Mike had to go back to work :(  Sad day.  He has been bugging me all day for some pictures.. pretty cute :)  My mom came on Monday too, and she's been a big help!  She's so good about just cleaning and cooking and taking care of us! Thanks Mom!!!  Grace's next doctor appointment is Wednesday, and she gets to go to lunch on Thursday to meet all of Mike's work peeps...just some more opportunities to show her off!
