T-minus 48 hours!
Welp. I'm officially less than two days away from 40 weeks. I can't believe I've made it this far! I have officially tried any and all home remedies for inducing labor. Castor Oil even made the list. The effects weren't too bad, but definitely didn't spur any contractions. I've been drinking my Raspberry Leaf Tea and taking 4 Evening Primrose Oil vitamins/day= NOTHING. I guess he'll just come out when he's good and ready. Little stinker already. ;)
Last weekend was really nice. We didn't really have any plans, and it was a good combination of relaxing and productive! On Saturday morning, I felt inspired and made a big breakfast. We (all three of us) are big fans of any and all breakfast foods, so we scarfed down. I know it looks like a lot of food, but we sure did take it all down. Mostly me...actually.
Is it bad that some of Grace's first words were Bacon! and Pizza! Oopsy. She was very proud to show off her bacon.
On Saturday night, Gigi & Gikum came over to hang out with Grace while Mike and I went to our Church group meeting. We started a really good sermon based study all about Paul and got some volunteer opportunities lined up for holiday season. Very productive. It was also a plus that there were some amazing pumpkin and lemon desserts there. Satisfied my sweet tooth quite nicely!
Sunday was the day of the rain starting, so after church, it was a pretty relaxing day full of naps and football. However, I was productive! I cleaned out both cars (MUCH NEEDED) and installed Clark's car seat bases into the back seats. It is nice and crowded back there! Both trunks are cleaned out and have plenty of room for the stroller and our mass of bags!
Sunday night, Gigi & Gikum came over AGAIN---this time, with FOOD! Patsy was VERY kind to make us some frozen goodies for when Clark comes. The stocking of our freezer has begun. We had some green chile enchiladas, meatloafs, & chicken spaghetti. Yum! We then spent the evening watching the Cowboys!
This week, everybody in Mike's office is in San Francisco for some conference or training thing. Unfortunately, he did not attend with the expectation that I might go into labor. Bad news is that he misses out on a free trip to San Francisco. Good news (for him) is that he doesn't have to go into his office all week. He is still doing some work from home, but not having to go into the office is really nice! SOOOO....I decided to take yesterday off as a day to relax and have some 'me' time. Needless to say, we had a nice day! After dropping Grace off at the babysitter, we headed to Target for some essentials. (What isn't essential at Target, right?) We got some groceries and some accessories for Grace's Halloween costume. We have been looking everywhere for Clark a costume (that will somewhat go with Grace's), but aren't having much luck in the newborn size department. :(
After our Target excursion, we figured it was time to give our dogs some much needed TLC/attention! They have been feeling rather neglected lately---as well as stir crazy due to the weather! We took them to get their nails clipped (not their favorite thing), but then we took them to run at our favorite little spot. They explored and chased the bumper around for a good 30 minutes. The bad part about this cooler weather is that those dogs can run and play forever and never use up that energy! Fun/carefree day!<-- probably the last one of those for a long time!
*Just a side note--Daisy has been driving me crazy the past day or two! She will not leave my side and insists on sleeping right up on me all night! I'm going to take this as a sign Clark is on his way out?!
Yesterday, Grace didn't get something she wanted and went and "hided" and threw a little fit. We couldn't help but laugh!

Tomorrow is Parent/Teacher Conference day at school, followed by Monday off! Looking forward to a three day weekend! Doctor's appointment today to check the status of Mr. Bolding. She said this time if there is not enough progress, than we'll start talking about setting a date or giving him a little 'boost'...whatever that means! So, wish me luck! Happy Thursday ya'll!
